Snacks With Scientists is an initiative started four years ago by senior girls from High Tech who wanted to provide an event for young girls where they could learn about career opportunities in STEM fields and meet and interact with females currently working in those fields. The event specifically targets girls in the fifth and sixth grade. This year marks the fourth annual Snacks With Scientists event.

Over 100 girls attended this years event. Sixteen different professionals volunteered their time to come and talk about their careers and interact with the girls. The event is sponsored by the National Honor Society and the Steminist club. Thank you to Ms. Gross, the advisor for both clubs and all the students who helped make this year’s event a success. Thank you also to Delicious Orchards for donating snacks.
