Nine HTHS students named Lifetime Fellows of the American Junior Academy of Science
Last spring, 9 HTHS students placed at the New Jersey Academy of Science Competition, and were given the distinction of being New Jersey’s Delegates to the American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS) Conference, held in conjunction with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the National Association of the Academies of Science (NAAS). These students traveled to Washington DC from March 1-5, 2023 to take part in the annual conference, tour government and academic labs, network with scientists and professionals from government science agencies, and interact with notable speakers, like Dr. William Phillips, the 1997 Nobel Laureate in Physics. For their work leading into the conference, and presentation of their research posters, the students were awarded the distinction of Lifetime Fellows of the American Junior Academy of Science.
